Useful Numbers and Three Web Sites

Here are some useful numbers for the new settler in the Las Vegas Area. You will need to reach a number of companies and agencies to set up all the necessities of life.

The information here was accurate when entered, and it doesn't seem to change much (if at all), so I hope it will remain correct. I will try, from time to time, to check on it, but if you end up getting a pizza parlor instead of a utility company, you'll have to go back to the phone book.

As far as I know, all houses have electricity and garbage collection, but Water, Gas, and Sewer depend on the house.

A surprising number of houses are still on a well, and many are on septic. I don't know what percentage are all electric, but just about half the properties we own have no gas service.

The numbers above are great when you need to get something done now. When you need more extensive information, the sites below have an amazing amount of useful material. You can even get a (slightly fuzzy) aerial view of your house.

The City of Las Vegas also has a very complete site.

At the the Nevada DMV site you'll find what you need to know about registering your car, changing your license and other related information.
