Las Vegas Clubs and Organizations

You won't find these organizations in a visitor's guide

Visitors don't generally become volunteers, join local clubs, or get involved in the community. You, on the other hand, as a resident have a huge number of resources to help you get involved, or stay involved with the activities you love.

Are you an animal lover? Got a favorite breed of dog? Crazy about cats. Want to help wild horses?

Do you act, sing or play music?

Do you enjoy hiking, camping, horseback riding, para-sailing, backpacking, snowboarding or skiing?

Paddle a canoe? Sail a boat?

Are you into old cars? British? American? Italian? Hot Rods?

Have I hit on it yet? If not, how about: breeding koi, hand weaving, singing in a barbershop quartet, exploring the paranormal, taking pictures, birding, painting, sculpting, playing chess, or volunteering to help others.

These are just a small sampling of the types of the clubs and organizations that operate in Las Vegas.

This may be the shortest page on the site, because The Las Vegas Review Journal has already put up an excellent site listing most of them: It's their Community Link pages.

Good luck, and I'll be surprised if you don't find something to peak your interest.

I found that page about a year ago, and finally got around to joining the British Auto Club of Las Vegas. I've only been to a few meetings, so far, but it seems to be a really fantastic group of people.

My wife is involved in Heaven Can Wait Sanctuary which is also listed. They always needs volunteers to help in their fight against homeless animals.

I hope you are as lucky.
