Las Vegas Activities
Looking for something different to do? Got out of town visitors? Kids driving you nuts? Go to a show. Visit an aquarium. Enjoy an art exhibit. Watch a circus act. Spend the day at a museum. Go bowling. See an auto race. Experience a thrill ride. Watch a ball game. Try your luck in a casino. When you live in Las Vegas, all these activities are available, and just about all the time. I've tried to limit Las Vegas activities here to things in, or very close to, the city itself. As the site continues to grow, I expect to add a section on day trips. Many of the activities listed here are things we have done, or would like to do. The list is far from all inclusive. For more ideas, see the links at the bottom of this page. There are many excellent sites covering all aspects of Las Vegas life. Although most of them cater to visitors (you'll see lots of hotel ads), you might as well take advantage of what they have to offer.
One of the great things about living in Las Vegas is you not only can do the cool tourist stuff, you can frequently do it for less. Many Las Vegas establishments, especially shows, offer discounts to locals, Don't be afraid to ask. My wife and I recently purchased tickets to three shows at one of the Strip hotels. We saved more than $50.00 each (about 35% off) on two of them, and got a two for one deal for the third. Pretty good savings just for living here.
